Going for Gold

The Physics department at The Kingsway School is celebrating great success in the recently held British Physics Olymipiad. This is a competition, held every year by Oxford University, which aims to encourage and recognize excellence in young physicists across the country.

This year, over 3000 Year 11 students attempted the GCSE Challenge Paper and less than 500 were awarded the Gold medal. One of those winners was our very own Alice Poole, who performed magnificently well in achieving this accolade.
Our congratulations also go to the other participants, especially Faiza Riaz and Oliver Bluff, who were awarded Silver and Bronze awards respectively.

Commendations went to Nazneen Aslam, Hashim Ali, Faizan Nawaz and Hamza Ahmed.

Let's see if next year's Year 11 can emulate their success!
