Curriculum Intent

Cambridge Nationals are vocationally related qualifications that take an engaging, practical and inspiring approach to learning and assessment. They are industry relevant, geared to key sector requirements and very popular as they suit a broad range of learning styles and abilities.

The qualification is designed with both practical and theoretical elements, which will prepare students for further qualifications and employment in Child Care, Health Care and Social Care.

A mature, tenacious approach and excellent attendance is needed to successfully complete the large quantity of coursework and the role play scenarios students will be exposed to.

The Areas of Study

The four areas of study are:

  • The students will learn how and why creative activities are needed and will demonstrate their ability to plan and carry out a creative activity in an appropriate setting.
