Ofsted Inspection Outcome – January 2020

Dear parents and carers,

We have today received our Ofsted report following their 2 day inspection on 28th and 29th January 2020. The inspection was conducted under the new Education Inspection Framework, which has a much stronger focus on the quality of education provided in schools.

The inspection was thorough with a team of 5 inspectors visiting lessons, talking to staff and students and looking through our students’ work. They also took account of your comments on Parent View.

I am delighted to inform you that the school was awarded a GOOD rating.

You can find a copy of our report below.

This is a real accolade for Kingsway. The new framework for inspection is tougher and inspectors delve in to every aspect of our school. Your children were amazing – they were not in the least bit phased by our visitors and behaved impeccably.  In their verbal feedback, the inspectors commented on what a credit our young people were to their school and to their families. I totally agree.

The report quotes many positives about our school and the improvements we have made. However, the opening statement captures the vision for our school in a nutshell:

“The headteacher and staff are working to make this good school even better. They have demonstrated the capacity to make this happen. They prepare pupils well for successful and happy lives.”

The staff at The Kingsway School have the drive and determination to make our good school outstanding and we will continue our hard work to ensure that every single child goes on to live a successful and happy life.

On behalf of the staff and governors, I would like to thank our parents for their continued support.

Have a lovely half term,

From a very proud Mrs Lowe
