There was an excellent turnout of ex-students, parents, friends and teaching staff for this year’s Presentation Evening. Everyone was present to celebrate the success of the Class of 2019 and see them receive their GCSE certificates.
Stacey Copeland, who is the first ever British female boxer to win a Commonwealth title, gave an inspiring and motivational speech and also handed out over 50 Department awards for effort and attainment.
The audience also listened to an entertaining speech from Ethan Wilson and Jessica Crawley who were last year’s Head Boy and Head Girl.
Former students Owen Faulkner and Lara Barbera gained the highest points totals in last year’s GCSE results. They received engraved glass trophies from Mrs. Lowe in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
The audience were also entertained by the fantastic Year 7 choir who sang “The Cure” by Little Mix.
The Kingsway School wishes the Class of 2019 the very best for the future.
