Year 6 Transition Drop-in
Tuesday 21st May
Dining Hall on Foxland Campus
The first of a series of drop-in sessions for Year 6 parents/carers to discuss any concerns or issues they may have with a member of the transition team. These will be informal sessions with some of our Year 7 students in attendance as ambassadors for the school.
Year 6 Parent Workshop - Literacy and Numeracy
Monday 10th June
We understand how daunting the transition from primary to secondary school can be and, as a school, we are deeply committed to ensuring that this is as smooth as possible, for everyone including parents and carers. As such we are also running a series of Parent Workshops to help bridge the gap. The first session is on literacy and numeracy skills to support your child and will also see the launch of our summer reading and maths programmes.
Year 6 Parent Workshop - Bridging the Gap
Thursday 20th June
Our second Parent Workshop will be delivered by Miss Cropper, our Wellbeing Lead and Operational Safeguarding officer. She will be delivering a workshop on reducing anxieties and supporting your child’s transition to secondary school.
Thursday 4th July
The final date, which should already be in your diaries, is the Transition Day and evening. More details will follow shortly but we just wanted to give you a reminder that in the evening the event is for parents only and will give you the chance to meet your child’s form tutor.
We hope as many of you as possible can attend these events but if you have any concerns or queries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the transition team on firstname.lastname@example.org
