The National Health Service is turning 70 on 5 July 2018. As part of the NHS 70 Celebrations, there is a lot of focus on youth volunteering and social action.
Wythenshawe Hospital have asked if they can show case our students’ Duke of Edinburgh initiative making muffs and blankets for dementia patients. Our Year 11s are working hard to complete them and are enjoying decorating them with a variety of interesting and colourful attachments. In addition to this, the students are working at the Shaw Trust Charity shop and Chelwood Foodbank to complete their Silver Award in Volunteering.
